Certified Arts Based Therapy Practitioner (WCCLF, Pune)
Solution Focussed Brief Therapy Practitioner (IASTI, International,

Hi , I’m Kritika!
I am an Arts based therapist and a Developmental Psychologist. My endeavour is to create a safe space for children , adolescents, young adults and families to express themselves through art and play and various other modalities.

I truly believe each individual is an expert on their own lives and my expertise in the field will help navigate through a better understanding of self, emotions, thoughts and challenges which may be mental, emotional or even physical. My experience of over 8 years, working with children, adolescents, young-adults, families, at-risk populations, school mental health programs and training young professionals brings unmatched value and novelty to the table.

Even the strongest wave cannot undermine my faith in the efficacy of art therapy, it utilizes creative processes to help people explore self-expression and, in doing so, find new ways to gain personal insight and develop new coping skills. Through exploring art that they create , people can look for themes and conflicts that may be affecting their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Studies have shown engaging in any creative activity can reduce stress and have a positive effect on your mental health, regardless of artistic experience or talent. The creation or appreciation of art is used to help people explore emotions, develop self-awareness, cope with stress, boost self-esteem, and work on social skills.

Continuing to keep the creativity alive and reaping the benefits of early intervention in a vast array of concerns like ADHD, school issues, anxiety disorders, behavioral concerns, Autism Spectrum disorders, depression, family issues, peer relationships, adolescent issues, self esteem, developmental disorders and adjusting to other life's challenges.

Our Testimonials

Kritika is someone who pours her soul into her work. I and my spouse met her for therapy of our child. Though, we were able to bring our child for one social therapy class in a week, the improvement we saw after each week was encouraging. She understands child psychology and tailors the therapy to help the child. She is experienced, well read and probably the best in her field; as far as we know. Her post therapy instructions for parents helps and works. And she makes a special bond with the child. This happens when you do your work with love and honesty.

I started seeing kritika Mehta 3 years ago. She has been so helpful to me. She's excellent at listening and she is non-judgmental. You can tell her anything and she will not look down on you. She doesn't criticize you and instead treats you like a friend that helps you think and see things In a different light. Her therapy has helped me gain confidence in myself and to look at everything in my life and around me in a positive way. She has always encouraged me by being practical and optimistic about me and my tomorrow. It takes a special person to be able to obtain my trust and she has it.

Kritika is really awesome, she is soft-spoken, always smiling, gentle and caring. My daughter took counseling classes with her for over a year and she loved Kritika didi' s classes... Kritika had her own way of dealing with kids whether it be thru the medium of drawing, games or other activities. She also helped me a lot with many personal issues and guided me...can never forget how she has helped my daughter and me. God bless you Kritika!

Visiting a therapist or a psychologist can be very overwhelming for any individual. But when you meet someone like Kritika , from the very onset the positive energy she extends, reaches out to an individual. Just as sensitive , compassionate and mindful an individual she is; she is as kind, empathetic and perceptive a therapist as well. The way she uses different mediums of art in her therapy sessions, they really provide a space for an individual to connect with their own selves, paving a way for healing to permeate. I have had a very enriching experience not just being a recipient in the therapy sessions with her, but also being trained under her.
