Parenting

Parenting is a gift and can be fulfilling, but it can also be difficult and challenging, especially during transitions in life – like puberty. New parents, overwhelmed parents, and parents facing mental health conditions may benefit from the support of a mental health professional. A therapist or counselor can help parents through difficult situations or behavioral concerns.

We also provide support to new parents or parents to be. Parenthood is exciting but can also be overwhelming. Supporting the parents to make this very beautiful transition into becoming parents as smooth as possible by answering questions related to development of their baby once he/she is born, providing support at each developmental stage, sharing activities for healthy development in each area, working on forming healthy attachments with the child from the beginning yet maintaining their adult relationship.

We also provide support for single parents. A single parent often experiences increased stress. This can be due to a greater amount of parenting responsibility. Especially when a parent suddenly becomes single, children may have trouble coping. This can lead to behavioral difficulties. Therefore, providing support to families after the loss of a parent becomes crucial in the healthy development of the child.
